Babycorn Pulav is undoubtedly a combo meal which incudes both vegetable and rice which satiates our appitite. The flavour of coconut milk is something very appealing along with a dash of butter which makes it even more exotic. The crunchiness of the babycorn can be sensed in a morsel and make you yearn for it. Here, we mix rice with babycorn and cook them with some spices to give an extra flavour.
The time taken to prepare this rice delicacy is around 30 minutes and the quantity mentioned here is enough for 3 servings.

How To Prepare Babycorn Pulav.

Ingredients For Babycorn Pulav.
- Basmathi Rice - 1 cup
- Babycorn - 15.
- Onion - 1.
- Cinnamon - 1 inch.
- Clove - 3.
- Bay leaf - 2
- Salt - as required.
- Turmeric powder - 1 tsp.
- Garam Masala powder - 1 tsp.
- Lemon juice - 1 tbsp.
- Coriander leaves - 3 sprigs.
- Ghee or butter - 2 tbsp.
- Green chillis - 5.
- Ginger - 1 inch.
- Garlic - 5.
- Coconut milk - 1 cup.
- Milk - 1 cup.
Method To Make Babycorn Pulav.
- Wash and soak basmathi rice for 1 hour.
- Slit babycorn length wise.
- Grind ginger, garlic, and green chillis into a paste.
- Heat a pressure cooker with butter or ghee in it.
- Add bay leaf, cinnamon, clove and fry for a minute.
- Now add chopped onions and saute for a minute.
- Add slit babycorn, rice and fry for around 1 minute.
- Mix in ground paste and stir it well.
- Add salt, garam masala, turmeric powder and lemon juice to it.
- Finally add coconut milk and plain dairy milk.
- Close the lid and pressure cook up to 2 whistles.
- Switch off the flame and allow it to cool.
- Sprinkle chopped coriander leaves while you are about to serve the rice.

- See to it that the boiled rice is well separated and is not clumsy.
- You can prepare this pulav in another way by boiling rice separately and then by mixing it with other ingredients in a pan
- I have cooked rice using coconut milk but you can avoid it and cook it in a normal method also.
