Dink Laadu / Dinkache / Gond Ladoo Recipe

Dink ladoos are prepared in many different ways. The most important ingredient we use here is gond or edible gum. This sweet ladoo has a lot of medicinal facilities. It is a must for the lactating mothers to eat these ladoos. Due to the nutritional ingredients present in it, it helps the nursing mothers to be strong and healthy. And of course,  you can make the children to eat this with a cup of milk, which completes the morning breakfast peacefully. In general, this is a healthy dish which can be consumed by all the ages of people.

How To Prepare Dink  Ladoo / Dinkache / Gond Ladoo


The time taken to prepare this ladoo is around 45 minutes and you can yield around 15 ladoos out of the ingredients  mentioned below.

Ingredients For Dink Ladoo.


  • Almonds ( badam ) - 1 cup.
  • Cashew nuts - 1 cup.
  • Rock candy ( kallu sakkare ) - 1 / 2 cup.
  • Raisins - 1 / 2 cup
  • Pitted dates - 1 cup.
  • Desiccated coconut - 1 / 2 cup.
  • Ghee - 1 cup.
  • Poppy seeds ( khus khus ) - 1 tbsp.
  • Edible gum - 2 tbsp.
  • Jaggery - 1 / 2 cup.
  • Cardamom powder - 1 tsp.

Method To Make Dink Ladoo.


  • Heat a deep pan with the ghee in it and deep fry the edible gum. The gum will enlarge in size. 
  • Remove the gond from the pan and keep it aside.
  • Heat another pan with 3 tbsp of ghee in it and roast the almonds for about 5 minutes. Remove it from the pan and keep it aside.
  • Roast the other ingredients like Cashews, Dates and poppy seeds in the same manner. Set it aside to cool.
  • Now take a mixer jar and powder the edible gum into a smooth powder.
  • Powder the almonds, dates, cashew nuts and rock candy into a coarse consistency.
  • Heat a deep  pan add scraped jaggery pieces into it. 
  • Add 1/ 4 cup of water into it and cook till  it attains 1 inch of sugar syrup consistency.
  • Switch  off the flame and add all the powdered ingredients like almonds, cashews, poppy seeds, edible gum powder, dates pieces, cardamom powder, raisins, desiccated coconut, and sugar candy powder into it.
  • Mix it well with jaggery syrup and roll out small balls of it.
Your nutritious and healthy dink ladoos are ready to be served.!!!

  1. This laddo will remain fresh for a week and later on, you can store it in the refrigerator.
  2. Always use fresh ghee for this sweet.
  3. You can use any dry fruits of your choice.
  4. You can decrease the quantity of jaggery for a less sweeter taste.
  5. De-seed the dates before frying.
  6. Chop the dates according to your size preferences.
