Corn Bhel Recipe / Makai Ka Bhel

Today lets prepare Corn Bhel chaat. This is also known as Makai Ka Bhel. Its extremely simple and very easy to prepare. It is also one of the best recipes which is ideal for Kitty Parties and Birthday Parties. Health Conscious people can consume this chat guilt free since it is also a Healthy one since it contains corn which is considered to be good for your body. Also ,If you've got unexpected guests, consider this recipe as a boon since this hardly takes much time to prepare.


Corn Bhel Recipe Makai





Ingredients To Prepare Corn Bhel.


  • American Corn ( Sweet Corn ) - 1 Cup
  • Onion - 1/2 Cup
  • Cucumber - 1/2 Cup
  • Tomato 1/4 Cup
  • Pappadi ( small hard fried puris )- 7 pieces
  • Sev - 1/4 Cup
  • Coriander leaves - A Few Strings
  • Chat Masala - !/2 Tea Spoon
  • Pomegranate Seeds - Optional ( A few)
  • Red Chilli Powder - 1/4 tsp
  • Salt - 1 tsp

How To Make Corn Bhel

  • Firstly, take a big mixing bowl
  • Chop Onions, Tomatoes, Cucumber and Coriander Leaves. 
  • Crush Pappadi into small sized pieces.
  • Now, Mix Onions,Tomatoes, Cucumber and Coriander leaves.
  • Add Chat Masala, Green Chutney, Red Chilli Powder and a pinch of salt.
  • Add Corn and Pomegranate Seeds.
  • Add Pappadi pieces.
  • Now, Transfer everything to a plate and decorate it with Sev.

  1. Please remember to add Pappadi pieces at the last stage only to avoid sogginess.
  2. You get readymade pappadi pieces in any Indian shop. However, I will show you how to prepare them at home in one of my future blog posts.
  3. Place Onion Rings for Garnishing if it is desired.
  4. You can also mix in sweet chutney to get a more sweeter taste.
  5. Fried Groundnuts can also be mixed for a different taste.
  6. Half tsp of lemon juice can also be added.
