Avalakki or flattened rice can be prepared in a variety of ways. There are usually three varieties of avalakki. Thick, medium and thin ones. The thick avalakki ( poha) has to be soaked in water for a few minutes before cooking so that it will turn out to be softer and ready to use. You can use this avalakki as a breakfast as well as an evening snack. It is very easy to prepare and takes less of your time. Poha ( avalakki ) is usually substituted for rice. Here I have showed one variety of preparing avalakki.
