Posted by Veena Karanth at 05:14:00
Spiny gourd or teasle gourd is a vegetable which is available mostly during the rainy season. It has a thorny outer covering but unlike its counterpart bitter gourd , this vegetable is not bitter in taste. It is bit expensive when compared with other Indian vegetables. Many variety of dishes can be prepared out of this like stuffed spiny gourd , sambhar and so on.The snack which I am going to show here is almost like a starter. It is
known as kaad hagalakai in Kannada.
