Curd rice, as the name itself suggests is a combination of curd and rice. This dish is usually eaten at the end of the lunch or dinner since it has a soothing effect on the stomach. Curds ( which is also known as yoghurt or yogourt ) is obtained after the fermentation of milk. This fermentation is possible because of a few variety of bacteria. It has many antibiotic qualities and when consumed regularly, it can protect our body from many diseases. Curds help in our digestion process and hence it is eaten at the end. Curds can be prepared either at home or it is easily available in the market. Nowadays even flavored curds are available in all leading shops.
Your nutritious and rich curd rice is ready to be served.!!!

Kitchen Masti Points
- See to it that, the curds are not too sour.
- Instead of pomegranate, you can also use green grapes for a different taste.
- Slit green chillies can be omitted to avoid spicyness.
- Never mix milk and curds together. It is not good from the health point of view.
