Banana smoothie is one of the most refreshing appetizers which is loved by one and all. Smoothies can be prepared by using different fruits. Here I have used banana as the key ingredient. Since smoothie is prepared using yogurt, it is best to consume during summer. Banana is very rich in potassium and they are simple and easily digestible too. It contains simple sugar which provides instant energy for the human body. Under nourished children can consume it to overcome weight loss. It contains lot of fibers and help to control bowel movement. It also helps to over come the muscle cramps, so it is advisable to consume a banana every day. Irrespective of any season, this fruit is easily available throughout the year.
How To Prepare Banana Smoothie
It hardly takes around ten minutes to prepare and the ingredients mentioned here is enough for two servings.Ingredients To Make Banana Smoothie
- Banana - 1
- Vanilla flavored yogurt - half cup
- Milk - one cup
- Honey - 1 tbsp
- Ice cubes - 4
Method To Make Banana Smoothie
- Peel the banana skin and chop it in to pieces
- Now take a juicer jar and add chopped bananas, yogurt and milk.
- Run the mixer for few seconds until the banana is fully blended into a puree.
- Transfer it to a serving glass.
- Add honey and mix it well.
- Serve chilled adding ice cubes.
Kitchen Masti Points
- Instead of vanilla yogurt, you can use plain yogurt too.
- You can replace honey by sugar but using honey is advisable from the health point of view.
- If you do not wish to use the ice cubes, you can alternatively prepare the banana smoothie using chilled milk and yogurt.
