( Amla ) Nellikai Thambuli ( Gooseberry ) Recipe

Amla otherwise known as gooseberry ( or nellikai in kannada ) is rich in proteins, carbohydrates, vitamins and so on. As amla is not available throughout the season, you will have to store it in a container after drying it in the sun. Its quality can be retained if it is dried in the shade. Gooseberry is very good for health since it has many medicinal properties. Amla being rich in fiber, helps to control the bowel movement and keeps constipation at bay. Since it contains lots of vitamin C it prevents premature  wrinkling of skin and helps to stay fit.
