Paneer is nothing but the Indian name for Cottage Cheese. Basically, it is prepared out of curdled milk. It contains lots of protiens and helps to strengthen the bones and teeth. Paneer is easily one of the most loved item among children. And, not to mention, adults too. I have read somewhere that Paneer helps to maintain the insulin level in the blood especially among the diabetic people.
It contains lots of calcium but there is also a disadvantage. More consumption of Paneer would also mean more number of calories intake. So, if you are slim and are keen to add on weight, then consuming paneer every now and then is a solution for gaining weight.
Many varieties of dishes can be prepared out of Paneer. It is easily available in the markets, but preparing at home would be a healthier option.
