Kitchen Masti Points
- While preparing tadka (seasonsing) , instead of adding coconut oil, you can add any other oil but coconut oil gives the best result.
- Instead of mangoes, the curry can be substituted with capsicum , lady's finger, pineapple or bitter gourd .
- Note that these vegetables should not be boiled like mangoes, but should be fried in oil.
- Please note that in the above Mango Curry / Menaskai, I have not used tamarind because the mango itself is tangy but if you use other vegetables which I have mentioned above , then make sure that a small ball ( quantity) tamarind is essentially added while grinding.
- However, if you want to use bitter gourd as a substitute in place of mangoes, make sure to increase the quantity of tamarind to around the size of a small lemon.
This tastes yummy as well!
